Massage and taping

***The Posture Program***

This week two clients have completed their six week posture program. A combination of massage, acupuncture and taping. Designed & tailored specifically for each client. The results have been mind blowing. Changing their posture, eliminating pain, enhancing performance, improving range of motion and resulting in very very happy clients!

"When I first went to The Massage Room I had been suffering with lower back problems and a particularly sore Achilles Tendon, I wanted to get back into running again but didn’t want to cause further or substantial injury to my body. Immediately Zoe checked the arches of my feet noticing they were fallen. Zoe recommended I got some orthotics, once I got them my lower back issue almost disappeared within a week!

With the other treatments that Zoe has been doing it has allowed me to actively get back into running and my training, my legs and body have a noticeably greater and un-hindered range of movement. The other part of treatment is that Zoe has actively educated me about posture and raising awareness of my body. I also have extra stretch’s and pressure point release’s to do at home and after my runs, which has helped maintain my running injury free.

Zoe has really helped me move forward with my personal training goals and enabled me to stay injury free, the service is friendly, highly professional and the knowledge that Zoe has about the physiology of the human body is superb. I would thoroughly recommend the treatments that The Massage Room provides they have genuinely helped me get my body back to where I want it to be"

By using Kinsio tape after a massage it will:

Reduce edema, facilitate muscle activation and improve propriocetion.
It will Decrease spasmodic tension, reduce pain and re educate poor posture habits. See the blog about Kinsio Tape.

Kinesiology tape is a thin, stretchy, elastic cotton strip with an acrylic adhesive. It can benefit a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sports injuries, plus inflammatory conditions.
Kinesiology tape is almost identical to human skin in both thickness and elasticity, which allows it to be worn without binding, constricting or restriction of your movement.
Kinesiology tape is used for treating athletic injuries and a variety of physical disorders. For the first decade after its introduction practitioners in Japan were the main users of the therapeutic kinesiology tape. By 1988 the tape had been adopted by Japanese Olympic and professional athletes before spreading across the world.
You would have noticed now that more and more professional athletes use kinesiology taping to improve their sporting performance, prevent injury and allow them to return to their sport quicker.
